What is the weather like in Charleston, South Carolina in late March?

Charleston, South Carolina has average high temperatures in the 60s and lows in the 40s. This is the beginning of spring, when the city is full of blooming flowers and green landscapes.

What is the dress code?

Black Tie. Please refer to the photo gallery on how we want you to dress! Have fun with it! Sequins, and colors are encouraged. Think Italian garden party meets Palm Beach. Do NOT wear white. Dress your best. No jeans! Please do not go barefoot during any point of the night. Bring a change of shoes if needed.

Where should I stay?

At the Hyatt House Charleston/Historic District. Check "Travel" for more info. Use code G-KISP. Airbnbs are also a great option, especially if you're traveling with friends or family and want to stay together. To keep things easy, please stay near the venue or in downtown Charleston—that way you’ll be close to the festivities and all the fun the city has to offer!

How should I get around?

Charleston is super walkable—especially downtown—so bring comfy shoes and enjoy exploring on foot! For getting to the venue, we recommend either renting a car or using Uber or Lyft, whichever works best for you. Parking is available, but rideshares are usually the easiest (and let you enjoy the night worry-free!).

What should we gift the couple?

Your love and support mean the world to us! We’re registered with The Knot, and we kindly ask that you please stick to the registry—it’s filled with things we truly need and are excited about. That being said, if you’re feeling extra sweet, a thoughtful card or a favorite bottle of wine is always welcome (we’ll never say no to either!). Personal or sentimental gifts are being handled by the wedding party, so no pressure there—just come ready to celebrate!

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early (or sooner!) so you have time to park, find your seat, and settle in before the ceremony starts. We’ll be starting on time—don’t miss the big moment!

Can I bring my kids?

We love your little ones, but unless we’ve specifically told you your children are invited, this will be a mostly child-free celebration. We hope you can use this as a night off to relax, celebrate, and enjoy yourselves!

Do I get a plus-one?

Your official wedding invite will include all the details—you’ll be able to see if you have a plus-one when you RSVP. We wish we could celebrate with everyone, but due to space and logistics, we’re keeping things a little more intimate. Thanks for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you don’t post pictures of the bride and groom before the wedding and keep your phone away during the ceremony. We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture all the special moments, and we want them to have the space to do their job without distractions. We appreciate you respecting our wishes—it means a lot to us to have the ceremony captured in the way we’ve planned!

Can we take pictures with you during the reception?

We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you, but please don’t ask us to take pictures during the reception unless it comes naturally. We want to fully enjoy the moment without extra pressure. There will be plenty of photo opportunities at the welcome party, and our photographer will be capturing the day beautifully, so feel free to get your pictures in then! Thank you for understanding and respecting our wishes—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

What color are the bridesmaid dresses?

Light yellow!
